Foothill Cross-Country Teamwork

Last year our own foothill cross-country team had a great success in their seasons. The cross-country team participated in the valley championship and won many recognitions such as the boys’ varsity team finished 2nd in division 3 and manage to qualify for state and the girls’ varsity team competed after the boys and placed 13th out of 24 teams. We wanted to know what their secret to their success was so, we interview Coach Contreras and some of the cross-country runners. Mr. Contreras has been coaching cross-country for 12 years now and he still takes pride on coaching his team to their very best, he said “When the team is practicing I’m out in the course explain what to do and trying to encourage them”. Contreras assured that some of
