In the 1950’s the colonists were extremely frustrated because of the way they were governed by the British. By the eve of the revolution the colonists established a sense of their identity and unity as Americans by agreeing on freedom, the need for government and the ability to sustain themselves as a country. The following will explain how the colonists came together to fight for freedom and become americans.
