Welty's language in the text was with a lot of meaning and value. She talked about the librarian with many characteristics. She also talked about her mother's passion for reading, which was occasionally that she'd pick up a book. Welty has much value towards reading, and to prove she does, she puts "I was willing; I would do anything to read." She showed much enthusiasm when she would just go and dive into reading. if a child does that, then that shows what true passion for reading is.
