Should football players get paid more than people in the army?
Hello readers, my name is Taylor Marie Middaugh. i am disagreeing that football players should get paid more than people in the army. people in the army need to be the ones being paid more than football players. Some people disagree with me but lets see what you think after reading this.
It all started when I read an article that said that it is fair that football players get paid more than people in the army. That is when i realized that people in the army get paid way less than football players do. Studies show that a private in the army gets paid about $14,000 a year, and a football player gets paid about $140,000 a week! They get paid over 200 time what a soldier does!…show more content… there are many things that people in the army have to do that football players or even any of us have to even worry about. The sad thing is that not a lot of people even think about this. people in the army can get permanent injuries. the question that people are asking is “ Why don't people agree?”
People say that the main reason is that they don't have enough money to pay all the soldiers, and that football players travel and are away from home a lot. There are about 1,694 football players and over 1 million soldiers. There evidence is not very persuasive because that do not have to pay football players that much and soldiers are away from home and travel a lot also. What soldiers do is way more important than catching a football. It is absolutely not fair that they risk their lives and they don't get paid more than football players when all they have to do is catch a ball and try not to get tackled.
People in the army are the ones that give us the right to watch or even play football. They do so much for us. Then the get paid less than someone who catches a ball. if you look at the statistics a football gets paid more than $1 million per year. Soldiers get paid about $52,468 at high per year and $27,144 at low per year. Soldiers say the money does not matter but
