Josh Anders Rebecca Hoffman ENGL 111 Reading Response Paideia 15 30 September 2015 Summary The first part about writing a documented argument is choosing a topic, it needs to be something that you can research, and something that can be argued. If you can’t think of a rebuttal against your thesis then you need to pick another topic or reword your thesis. Often a documented argument will be based off of a personal experience you’ve had and something that is close to your heart. A great way to choose a topic is to brainstorm and make a list and cluster idea web.
