1A. Imagine life where the roads were safer, the traffic flow was easily maintained and constant, and there were less accidents. Driverless cars can make all this possible. Driverless cars can be used to prevent human error that comes with driving a car. The driverless car uses an automated driving system that uses sensors and cameras to indicate the right time to turn or to stop to prevent an accident from happening. This creates the opportunity to revolutionize the way driving works. 1B. The Driverless car is made possible by the work of programmers that work with the automated driving system that makes it possible. The operating systems of the driverless car must handle all situations and weather conditions and must work nonstop on some occasions (Panetta). The people who made and programmed the car could have a bug in in resulting in a system error on the road. The data could be loss during its transmission resulting in misinformation. 1E. The road to driverless cars is a tough one but it can lead to the decrease of accidents. 90% of all crashes are caused by human error (Kirkpatrick). Driverless cars of the future are likely to be able to outperform most humans during routine driving tasks, since they will have greater perspective, better reaction time and not from distractions.
