Ice, also known as crystal methamphetamine it is a man-made stimulant drug. As well as being one of the most destructive drugs on the illicit market it is also one of the most addictive and a rising concern for Australia as it has reached and affected 2.1% of our nations people. To support my statement that the effects of ice are detrimental to a person’s health I will be discussing several topics, these being; the effects and side effects of the drug and behaviour consistent with users.
People who become users of this drug tend to use at least twice a week if not more due to the severe addiction. The drug is either injected or smoked and while on this high they will feel energetic, artificially confident and will experience loss of appetite while also having an increasingly fastening heart rate and breathing.
