School is the Olympics Most Olympic athletes train an average of 5 hours per day, 6 days a week. An Olympic athlete’s main goal is to achieve the honor of winning a gold medal. However; their overall success is not determined solely on the medal that they earn, but also on the techniques, lessons, and effort they put into competing. In this same way school is the Olympics, and the students are the competing Olympians. Olympic athletes train their whole life in order to compete in the Olympics. They work and push themselves harder every day to become better at their event. On average an Olympian spends around thirty-five hours training per week, whether it is in the gym, in the pool, or on the track, they are 100% dedicated. In a similar way students are Olympians. Students also train their whole lives for school. Studying, doing homework, and learning different techniques is a student’s way of “training” for the future. Just like Olympians, students are in school an average of thirty-six hours a week. To succeed, both an Olympic athlete and a student must put forth their full effort.…show more content… A coach’s job is to motivate their trainee and keep them moving forward. However a coach must also be a good example to the person they are training. In a similar way teachers are coaches. Just like coaches, teachers teach their students useful information that will help them in the future. If a student doesn’t understand how to do an assignment, or understand a certain concept, their teacher is there to help explain and answer questions the student might have. Just like coaches, a teacher’s main job is to keep their students moving
