There were likely people from other African countries on the journey because Olaudah said that he saw a few people from his country, which means that the rest of the people aboard were not from his country. On the article about the Middle Passage, it also mentions how there was so many people, that you couldn’t even roll around. On one of the maps, it shows how people were captured in all parts of Africa, and were put on the same boat to be shipped away. Before they all boarded the ship, everyone was kept in a slave factory, so that the ships could pick them up and go on to the next slave factory.
