When you think of iconic sports figures you think of Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson, but many people don’t think about Charles Barkley. Charles Barkley is an amazing basketball player with a very humble personality and that is why people will never forget him. He is very inspiring not only because he is a great and funny basketball player, but also he is not afraid to say what is on his mind. Charles Barkley is known as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. His average field goal percentage throughout his career is .541 (“Charles Barkley”). Shooting greater than 50 percent over a 1073 game span is very hard to do. Some called him the MVP of the infamous “Dream Team” (Gambit 102). The “Dream Team” was the team that dominated the Olympics and to be called the MVP of that team was a huge honor.
