In the book, Bad Boy, Walter Dean Myers talks about his family in chapter 1 called Roots. On page 3, the author said, ‘Shortly after birth of my sister Imogene, my mother died…’ That tells you that he says that he doesn’t have a memory of his mother, Mary Dolly Green.
