Payton Nisby Kin 392-02 Lab 2: Determining Power: Wingate Test Tuesday, September 29, 2015 Introduction: Anaerobic means existing without oxygen. Anaerobic power is the maximal rate of work completed without any aerobic (oxygen present) influence. In this lab, we examined the amount fuel used for a short-term, high intensity activity. The systems being examined were the anaerobic systems consisting of ATP-PC, glycolysis, and phosphagen systems. The purpose of this lab was to measure the peak anaerobic power, mean anaerobic power, and the fatigue index of each subject as they did a short, intense exercise on the ergometer cycle. I hypothesize that as time increases, the amount of revolutions will decrease and so will the anaerobic power. I also predict that male’s…show more content…
