Across the northwestern United Sates Wildfires have spread from Washington, Oregon all the way down to California. Hot, dry weather has fueled these wildfires. Also, officials say the past 4 years California has been in a drought. Right now there are two wildfires in California. Known as the Valley Wildfire and the Butte Wildfire. California state officials have said that 23,000 people have been displaced by these two wildfires ravaging the state.
The Valley fire is north of San Francisco, it has burned at least 400 homes and businesses. Displaced 13,000 people from their homes. The Butte fire is southeast of Sacramento, it has displaced at least 10,000 people from their homes.
