This project will be about my most favorite animal in the world. I may know nothing about it but it is still my favorite animal. The vulpe vulpe most commonly known as the Red Fox is located in the Taiga biome. The Taiga biome is below freezing for most of the year with an average temperature of 32°F. The summer is 50°F, the winter can be 26.6°F and the highest temperature it can reach is 104°F. Must be very cold over there. The Taiga biome is located in the northern hemisphere which is covers, North America, Asia, Europe, Alaska, Canada, Scandinavia, and Russia. This must explain why it’s a big biome. Biotic factors in the Taiga are, Moose Reindeer/Caribou, Beaver, Hare, Vole, Black Bear, Grizzly Bear, Wolverine, Owl, Eagle, Fox, Lynx, Wolf, Raccoon. Plants, Larch, Spruce, Fir, Pine, Some Deciduous Trees, Grass, Moss, Lichens. Abiotic factors in the Taiga are, Rocks, Soil (not fertile), Temperature (cold), Snow Rain (not a lot), Sunlight, Rivers, Sunlight, Lakes, Mountains. The colors are golden, reddish-brown, silver, or even black. The average length of is 2 1/2 feet long, 15 to 16 inches tall at the shoulders, and weigh 10 to 12 pounds. The red fox is located in the taiga biome it’s mostly snowy where he lives. The red fox’s diet consists of rodents, rabbits, birds, and some other small food, they can also eat fruit and vegetables. The red fox’s nich is a predator's niche it eats the small animals, like insects, mammals, and amphibians. They also help blackflies and mosquitos, and host many diseases. The fox is a predator but it still needs to adapt to its surroundings it. One of the fox’s adaptations is too hide it’s food under the ground too make sure no animal can find it, another adaptation is its loud hearing it can hear high frequencies
