The article that I have chosen comes from Cape Breton Nova Scotia with the issue of baby boomers and increased need for hospital care. An issue, that although is coming from Nova Scotia, is one that other provinces should be talking about. Dr. Paula Creighton speaks in this article with concerns that that growing baby boomers are going to create an increased presence in hospitals within the next 10-15 years and the hospitals will not be able support this presence. She also is quick to point out the issue of our current health care providers are also aging, which she notes, if we don't continue to build this profession, we wont have the future professionals to care for this growing presence in our health care systems from baby boomers.
