God is truly a God of compassion and second chances. No sin, puts anyone is a better category -- after all we all need the atonement for sin, through Jesus Christ. In this story the woman was found guilty of committing the act of adultery - it was undisputed, yet Jesus made a point of making sure her accusers knew they were no better than her, and were also guilty of sin. It begins with Jesus standing before the crowd preaching in the temple court when he was disrupted by some men dragging a woman before him who was caught in the act of adultery -- an act that was punishable by stoning in the Jewish law (John 8:4-5).
