INTRODUCTION.
Jeremy Webber clearly puts forward the ideologies that he uses to approach the social justice aspect in the day to day social life of communities. His contention and suggestions are worth taking note of and considered important because he attempts to express his views and reduce the disparity that exists between the majority and minority societies. As he says, no conception of justice is complete; a majority culture should therefore improve and enhance its own understanding and notion of justice by interacting with the minorities that always maintain conflicting normative positions that keep on disrupting the peaceful coexistence and mutuality among communities. A society is composed of communities and within the communities exist sub communities. Maintaining the cohesive values of these communities will help to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding that come as a result of a particular community feeling it is being targeted by others thus leading to conflicts making communities to be defensive of their cultures. Successful interaction of these diverse cultures helps to avoid and seal the loopholes that might cause this kind of division. For instance, an immigrant community should be welcomed by the natives and certain aspects of their cultures incorporated by the natives to ensure justice even in their social organization. This therefore suggests that a collaboration of social values and cultures within a society as put forward by Webber will ensure reduced sources of conflict and allow permeability of these cultural differences into each community’s boundaries thus most ill will and differences will be solved.
