Rendering
Rendering is the process of turning a 3D model or a scene into a 2D image or animation. It is similar to taking a picture or video of something in the real world. Several different, and often specialized, rendering methods have been developed. There are several ways of rendering like wireframe rendering where the image or video is rendered based on the polygons.
Other methods of rendering include ray tracing, radiosity, and scanline rendering. The time taken for rendering can range from days or even weeks to a few seconds, different methods of rendering will affect the render time. (Ray Tracing – radiosity – scanline rendering) respectively
When rendering interactive media, simulations or even games, the frames in the video are calculated at rates…show more content… Computer Clusters
A computer cluster is a network of intricately connected computer processors that do not work alone but in tandem with one another, like a single unit. Unlike grid computers, computer clusters have each node set to perform the same task, controlled and scheduled by a queue manager
A local area network, or LAN, is often used to connect each of the components of the cluster, because of its high speed capability. Each computer runs on its own instance of an operating system, normally all of the nodes in the system use the same software and the same hardware.
However, there are systems that use Open Source Cluster Application Resources, or OSCAR, which have varying operating systems, and in some cases different hardware.
They are usually deployed to improve performance and availability over that of a single computer, while typically being much more cost-effective than single computers of comparable speed or
