The Providence of Georgia, which is the 13th colony, was founded 50 years after the other 12 colonies to make the 13 colonies. Georgia was founded in part to protect South Carolina from the Spanish Florida and French Louisiana armies. The colony was located on the very southern end of the 12 colonies. The land consisted of hilly coastal plains with plenty of forests to the west and good agricultural lands. The colony was named Georgia after King George II. Georgia’s colony history was about founding and needing to protect South Carolina from Spanish Florida so some people can have a new life. The life and culture was about homes for people to live in and crops for people to to get food and money from. The carpentry in Georgia was about building defences out of strong durable materials to resist natural disasters.

Without the carpenters none of the colonists would have a home, meaning no shelter for the colonists, and that would mean that they would have a very different life. Most carpenters are better than almost everyone at building different structures. Most of the things the carpenters build are very important for survival in Georgia. Wood was the main material the carpenters used to build the things that were in the colonial times. Sometimes the carpenter will build things made from iron to increase resistance against natural disasters. This all proves that carpenters are important for building a ton of things in the colonial times that we may still have
