In the beginning I really didn’t understand the book. It was talking about a man looking for a relationship with a teacher, then it talks about the relationship between a gorilla and a man. I feel like I connected with the gorilla and the man because he wanted more from the gorilla than he was giving him. He saw passion and self-worth in him. He felt like he meant more to him than being a zoo animal. I think that this story relates to Planet of The Apes, but it would be called Plant of the Gorilla, except for the religious part of this story.
