Background of the interview I had an interview with Theodis Pace, who has been the President of the Kankakee County Branch 3035 of the NAACP for over twenty-six years. Summary of the interview The interview began with Mary Lacy walking Paris Williams and I into the conference room. A few moments later President Theodis Pace walked into the conference room with pamphlets, posters, annual reports, and packets. Paris Williams and I had an arrangement to take turns asking Theodis Pace questions relating to advocacy and policies that the Kankakee County Branch 3035 of the NAACP has been involved with recently. The City of Kankakee has now offered housing programs which include: Lead Abatement, Single Family Owner Occupied Rehab, Emergency Repair Program, Home Modification, and Home Buyer Assistance Program for low to moderate income families (T.
