During World War II many things were happening, one of them was the Kindertransport. The Kindertransport was an event that consisted of many children trying to escape persecution and terror by being sent on trains to England, they were taken to England because the Prime minister of England agreed on helping . Even though this was good for the children sometimes it could be kind of scary for them, they didn’t know if they were going to see their parents again . Therefore some people were willing to help these kids while they were on the Kindertransport. For example, Else Hirsch, she was a Jewish teacher who would teach the children English so that when they got to England they would be able to communicate with other people. Along with her, there are many more like, Nicholas Winton, and Samuel Hoare. During the Kindertransport many people were willing to help the children escape the war and be safe. Else Hirsch was a Jewish teacher, this helped her a lot in her transports, since the kids were going to England and other countries to be safe, they needed to be able to communicate, so since she was a teacher she taught them languages such as English. She organized a total of 10 transports going to Netherlands and to England. The parents had to make a lot of paper work if they wanted to send their children out to be safe, so Else Hirsch took care of that so that the parents didn’t need to worry, she would do all the organization forms, registering and getting all the required documents. Later on they found out about her, she got deported to a Riga Ghetto in 1942, and murdered there at the age of 53 the same year. There was something really curious about Else Hirsch that not much people know about, but Else Hirsch was not part of a Kindertransport organization or anything, and much of the things she did, she did them on her own
