The two poets, Anne Bradstreet and Edward Taylor both write references towards their religious views often. Being Puritans, they seem to invoke the usage of their religion within varying levels of writing, no matter if it’s about love, faithfulness, or even grief. The majority of Huswifery is centralised on serving the lord and saying that he is willing to work his whole life in order to obtain a union with christ, comparing the thread and spool towards working for god, complexing the metaphorical cloth narrative until it becomes ‘a holy robe for glory’. Wherein Anne Bradstreet’s poems differ because they’re not centralised on god, but still carry reference towards her religion. In, ‘To My Sweet and Loving Husband’, she says that she prays
