Using the shooting method, a numerical solution is calculated to match the three regions shown in Figure
3.2. The flat film is to be matched to the parabola, which represents the curvature of the capillary bridge.
Equation F.1 is numerically solved with boundary conditions based on the solution of Region 2, equation F.2.
As shown in Appendix E, the value of the second parameter ! in equation F.2, can have any value, as long as the solution is shifted along the x-axis afterwards. For simplicity the value will be chosen the same as Ã. This results in the three boundary values, shown in equations F.3, F.4 and F.5. In order to find the actual value of the parameter à is found by shifting the solution along the x-axis until is matches with a parabola
