Part 1-The event that develops in lines two hundred and forty nine to lines two hundred and fifty eight is that Bailey's mother has to leave the hospital even though she doesn't want to. Bailey also does not want her to leave either. I know this because of the tone in Bailey's mother voice and the details that the author included in lines two hundred and forty nine to two hundred and fifty eight. To explain my evidence, the tone that Bailey's mother used when the staff told her that visiting hours are over was like an complain mixed together with an argument, but then the staff told her that they will take good care of her. That is also how this rising action intensify the story's conflict.
