“Were in an emergency situation, The U.S has become an absolutely terrifying country and I would hope that I could participate in some way in stopping the horror and the brutality” Wallace Shawn. Police encounters happen all over the world. It all starts with discrimination and racism that authorities have. Police officers judge us by our appearance, our ethnicity, and our religion. They like to come after the less fortunate, those who are an easy target. It can be anyone if they think they are a threat to the community they will come at you, they couldn’t care less about you in light of the fact that they more power than we do. They feel they can manipulate us and mistreat us whenever they feel like it. . Racial profiling mostly occurs with African-Americans and Hispanics, driving in a certain area or driving a certain type of car. In addition, they are arrested for the smallest offenses and have endured unjust treatment for those offenses. I grew up trusting the authorities and the government, that they where here to protect our society and, to treat us equally. Personally, I never encountered any…show more content…
It all started when Sandra Bland was pulled for a careless traffic violation. She was then arrested for assaulting the police officer Brian Encina, which was recorded by the dashcam. However, that same officer was placed under administrative duty for falling to follow proper traffic stop procedures. A friend bland said that the police officer had, “ tossed her to the ground, knew to the neck.” The video the bystander recorded you can clearly hear Sandra saying, he slammed my head into the ground. The officer was using an excessive amount of force since the gecko. The officer has no right to yank her out of her, or to treat her the way he did.
