Like many special occasions such as, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Eid, Nowroz is another widely celebrated event in the Middle East. Nowroz literally means 'New Day', and it is the first day of the new year. On the three days of Nowroz, government employees don't go to their offfices; shopkeepers close their shops; doctors don't go to hospital; and workmen, including carpenters, plumbers, masons, farmers and so on, have afew days off. One might wonder what the people do on the three days of Nowroz. In fact, people take a lot of preparations and steps for celebrating Nowroz. Here are the steps people follow to celebrate Nowroz.
