Malala Yousafzai is a modern day hero in the truest sense of the word. How she reacted when her beliefs were tested to the limit defines the type of person she is. She is a person who is in service for the greater good. Her life’s story has influence both nationally and internationally. She has been greatly influenced by her father who is a head teacher and anti-Taliban crusader. At the age of 11 Malala began speaking out about children’s rights to an education, and in particular girls’ educational rights. She is a human rights advocate for education and for women in her native Swat Valley in Pakistan.
