In the short stories “The Most Dangerous Game” and “The Cask of Amontillado,” there are two corrupt characters that do murderous acts. “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, General Zaroff is a flat character that believes “the weak of the world were put here to give the strong pleasure.”(pg 32) “The Cask of Amontillado” by Edgar Allan Poe, Montresor is a round character that is determined to get revenge. Evil is defined as wickedness, especially when regarded as a supernatural force. General Zaroff is an insensitive person that enjoys killing people for his own satisfaction.
