The body of live organisms are made up of cells. Cells are simplest and smallest structures of organisms and different types of them perform a different role in the body. There are some other small structures inside the cells called organelles that help the cells to do their job, basically cells are made up of organelles, these can be nucleus, ribosomes, mitochondria and etc. Tissues are like building blocks of the body, they are made up of group of cells that share a similar structure and function.Different types of tissues carry out different tasks. Organs are made up of groups of similar tissues that accomplish a specific function, however some organs like stomach are made up of different types of tissues.
Mitochondria task 4
According…show more content… Their rule is to pump the blood around the body every second therefore they need a lot of energy to be able to do their job so the cells that made cardiac muscle need quite a large number of mitochondria to produce the right amount of energy.
Epithelial Tissue in Trachea:
Columnar epithelial is found in the lining of trachea. Trachea connects nose and mouth to lungs. (Dr.karen Bernd, 2010)
Columnar epithelial consist goblet cell, cilia and basement membrane. Goblet cell produces mucus that helps protect against long infection. Cilia move the mucus and catch any dust particles inhaled. Basement membrane is a thin membrane layer that provides support and attachment.
Organelles found in epithelium in trachea:
Rough endoplasmic reticulum:
Rough endoplasmic reticulum transport protein and ribosomes are attached with it .they transport the protein which are part of mucus.
Golgi apparatus and Vesicles:
Golgi apparatus also transport protein and other macromolecules around the body. It also transports the proteins that are part of the mucus. Vesicles also help producing the protein needed by…show more content… Simple columnar epithelium tissues: The cells of these tissues are arranged in columns and they are attached to each other to form a tight layer. The height of the cells are greater than their width. Because of the shape of these cells the nucleus is elongated and is located at their base. These tissues are mostly found in digestive tract, female reproductive system and respiratory system. As well as protective function it has barrier function too.
For example in the stomach these tissues form a barrier against bacteria however they allow some ions to pass through.
Stratified keratinised epithelial tissue: cell on the surface of Stratified keratinised epithelial are very flat .and they are dead and filled with the protein and keratin. Also there is no nucleus or organelles. They are found in the epidermis (top layer of skin). (Skin is made up of three layers that are epidermis, dermis and sub cutis. Epidermis covers the surface of the skin. Dermis contains connective tissue and is much thicker than
