Article 1: Inhaled Beta Agonists
In 3000 BC there was a traditional Chinese herb which contained ephedra and pseucloephedrine named Herb Ma Hucing , this herb was used to treat bronchodilation. This article focuses on the history, indications , and mechanisms of action of Beta-agonists drugs. It introduces the various B2 bronchodilators such as long acting which is known as LABA , and short acting which is known SABA.Chronic obstructive disease is known as COPD,it is a defined as a group of lung disease that block airway and makes it difficult to breath. Beta-agonists drugs works to treat COPD and bronchospasm.…show more content… Although I have a background in both chemistry and biology when the author explained short acting B2 agonists I found it difficult to read due to the fact that the author introduced medications that I am not familiar with. I also thought that the picture that was presented in the article was not explained well.
In order for the reader to have a better understanding while reading I would have definitions at the bottom of the pages of the article , so that it can make the reading easier. In order to make this artice better I would first introduce the drugs that make up beta agonists. In the article it states that "B2 adrenorecpetor is a large molecule that contains 413 amino acids" the author could have made the article less vague by name several of the amino acids that Beta agonists ontain. I also felt as though the author added plenty of useless informatio to the
