Out of all the players on the roster it HAD to be Jordan Eberle that went down with a shoulder injury. The Hockey Gods really DO hate Edmonton, it couldn’t of been Luke Gazdic or Nikita Nikitin or any of the "meh" players in Edmonton, it had to be the best right wing or hell, maybe the best player on the team. It's already starting to look like it'll be ten years without the playoffs but maybe, just MAYBE the season can be salvaged; indeed it'll be interesting, but it may be a rough ride. First off, the roster today stands at 28 and unfortunately for Edmonton, only 2 of those players are naturally played on the right side. Nonetheless Anton Slepyshev has played in every game (except one the split squad games, he isn't God) either way though, he has two goals and four points in those games. Even more, he has been extremely versatile playing on every single line and two of those games he has played on the right side. For example, he has built up some chemistry with Anton Lander (leading league goal scorer) and last night Slepyshev assisted two of his goals. Do you remember that guy I mentioned early, Lander I believe? Yeah, he may be a big part of how the season goes and FINALLY he has reached his potential. Anyhow, Lander has played like a second line centre and hopefully he continues reigning dominance over the leagues top scorers, but another plus side to Lander playing centre is Leon Draisaitl. As a result of Lander having a roster spot, Draisaitl will be able to move to the right side playing any line. Either way, it really depends on what Peter Chiarelli wants to do with him, regardless if Chiarelli wants to shelter him or give him big minutes it'll be a choice that will drastically affect the
