Persuasion and to the Point Does a persuasive person make people want to join them? Persuasion is the action or fact of persuading someone or of being persuaded to do or believe something. People use persuasion to get people to follow their ways. It happens daily people use persuasion to make them look better or to make their statement better. In the 1700’s two men were very persuasive, Jonathan Edwards and Patrick Henry. Jonathan Edwards and Patrick Henry both have persuasive and effective pieces; they also stand alone and are unique. They both had a purpose to join their side. Edwards was persuading people to repent and change to Jesus. Henry also used persuasion to get people to join him thoughts to stand up for liberty and their own
