ATTRIBUTION:Nancy Small (b. 1963), U.S. Roman Catholic feminist, pacifist, and counselor. As quoted in the New York Times, p. 29 (January 30, 1994).

Small held a Master of Divinity degree; was a leader in the protest against women’s exclusion from the Roman Catholic priesthood; was the New York coordinator of Pax Christi, a Roman Catholic pacifist organization; and was a principal in the Women’s Liturgy Group, in which women were worshipping together and celebrating a liturgy reserved to men. She also was active in community organizing and prayer counseling.
